Summary:
A seven-lesson curriculum unit designed to introduce students to the diversity of rice culture and rice-based farming systems in Asia and the Pacific and to help provide skills necessary to meet the needs of the future global population. Focuses on six rice-producing countries: Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, and Thailand. Two to three class periods are recommended for each lesson.
